ABOUT THE BRAND
Founded in 2016, Ruddock is an independent, London based jewellery brand.
We create sculptural, seasonless jewellery designed to add presence and move seamlessly between day and evening, grounded and quietly confident, but never overdone.
Our jewellery is intended not only to be lived in, but to be relied upon and carried with you through the years, anchored in our core values of quality, simplicity, and original design.
MANUFACTURE
Each design is handmade using the traditional technique of lost wax casting, where every piece begins life as a hand-carved wax sculpture. This meticulous method preserves intricate textures and details, bringing a tactile dimension to every finished item.
At Ruddock, sustainability and transparency are central to our process. We work exclusively with local casting and finishing partners, all located within a few square miles of our East London studio. This local production model not only reduces our carbon footprint, but also supports small businesses within the UK jewellery industry. All jewellery is crafted from recycled metals, using 18ct gold-plate, solid sterling silver and bronze.
Items that require hallmarking are certified at the London Assay Office, guaranteeing metal purity and quality.
OUR FOUNDER
All pieces are created by designer Sarah Ruddock.
Ruddock was born from Sarah’s desire to create strong, anchoring pieces that would add presence to everyday outfits - pieces that would work around the clock.
With a background working in the fashion industry, Sarah developed an appreciation not only for aesthetics, but also for how pieces make one feel and the power they have to transform your day. Over time, she grew weary of the constant cycle of renewal and reinvention, which led her to explore silversmithing and wax carving. What began as curiosity soon evolved into a natural transition into jewellery and the creation of Ruddock.
This move allowed Sarah to step away from seasonal trends and instead focus on longevity, creating designs you can return to year after year. Prioritising versatility, quality materials and original design.
Ruddock pieces have been celebrated for their distinctive aesthetic and delicate balance of substance with comfort, characterised by signature tubular forms and thoughtful construction.
These attributes are reflective of Sarah’s appreciation of modernist design and sculpture. Leaning into these as sources of reference and inspiration, Sarah delivers interest to her pieces through texture and construction with intriguing links or fastenings.
Since establishing her brand, Sarah has gained creative recognition within the luxury industry, being featured in prominent global publications such as Vogue, Twin, Grazia, Love Want, Sunday Times Style and magazine, and received several jewellery awards.
