ABOUT THE BRAND

founded in 2016, Ruddock is an independent, london based jewellery brand.

Combining bold, distinctive style with timeless elegance, we aim to create interesting, contemporary pieces, with a confident, fuss-free spirit.

Pieces that reflect brand pillars of quality, simplicity, and original design.

Manufacture

Each piece is crafted by hand using the time-honoured technique of lost wax casting.

A method which involves hand-carving or sculpting each piece initially in wax form, which is then cast and replicated in metal and moulded, serving as a blueprint for further pieces. The technique ensures the intricate details of the original design are faithfully preserved.

We partner with local businesses to bring our designs to life with all pieces being cast, Plated and finished in London, all within a few square miles. Working with a local supply base has the benefits of reducing our carbon footprint whilst also supporting the local community. we are actively committed to working towards more sustainable practices and  choose only partners that are transparent about their methods and supply chain.

in an effort to minimize waste all pieces are handcrafted in recycled metals, in small batches, or to order. we use 18 carat gold plate, solid sterling silver and bronze. Pieces that require hallmarking are verified and stamped at the London assay office guaranteeing their purity.

Our founder

all Ruddock pieces are created by designer Sarah Ruddock.

Working previously as a clothing buyer, Sarah had long held interest in the jewellery world, creating pieces first for herself, and later for friends, up cycling pieces from leather and vintage stones. gradually Her passion for making led her to explore the craft further with a course in silversmithing closely followed by another in wax carving, eventually launching her own website in 2016. after several years of organic growth, she took the step in 2019 to pursue jewellery design full-time.

Ruddock pieces have been celebrated for their design-led aesthetic and delicate balance of substance with comfort. These attributes are reflective of sarah’s appreciation of modernist design and sculptural forms.  Leaning into art and interior design as sources of reference and inspiration, Sarah delivers interest to her pieces through texture and construction with intriguing links or fastenings .

Since establishing her brand, Sarah has gained creative recognition within the luxury industry, being featured in prominent global publications such as Vogue, Twin, Grazia, Love want, Sunday Times Style and magazine, and received several jewellery awards.
